Include text files

You can include text files within your program with the use of the Include command. The contents of the file is not displayed within the editor but is compiled along with your program source code when you create your web page.

Edit text files

If you want to edit text files used with the OpenText command place the cursor on the OpenText command and press the Ctrl+E keys, this will launch your default text editor allowing you to edit a specific file. You can also select Edit Text File from the Tools menu

Library files

It is also possible to save sections of code as library, Text or CSS files by simply highlighting your text and clicking on Save Selected from the editor's File menu.

Block editing

You can not only cut copy and paste sections of code within the editor, you can also edit highlighted text using a number of ways such as converting text to upper of lower case and save sections of code as library files.

Adding comments

You can use a semicolon to ad comments within your program, this allows you to document the meaning and purpose of your source code, or to leave reminders for yourself or others. 

Using undo

You can use the Undo function to reverse any changes made when entering text within the editor. The opposite of Undo is Redo, which will redo the most recent editing action.

Indent text

You can indent a line or block of text within the editor to improve the structure of your source code, making your text easier to read. This can be achieved by using the Tab key to Increase indentation or Shift+Tab to decrease indentation.

Go to line number

The Go to Line dialog enables you to move the text cursor to a specific line number within the editor. This dialog can also be used in conjunction with the WC3 Markup Validation Web site when trying to locate specific errors within your source code.

Special characters

You can insert special characters and accented letters into your HTML code, such as the copyright symbol or a pound sign at any time with the use of the Special Characters dialog. This dialog can be activated from the editor's Tools menu.
